The Community Foundation administers scholarship funds established by individuals, families, corporations and organizations to assist high school and other students in pursuit of educational opportunities. These awards are charitable grants that the recipient is not required to repay. Scholarships may be used for legitimate educational expenses such as tuition, fees, books and room and board.
Many of the Foundation’s scholarship use a Common Application. If you are a high school senior, we suggest you start your scholarship search by downloading and reading our Scholarship Directory. It will provide you with application procedures, other scholarship resources and a list of funds that utilize the common application.
The Community Foundation supports individuals seeking funding for higher educational opportunities by administering a variety of scholarship funds for area residents. Most of these funds have very specific eligibility criteria. A list of scholarships can be found by clicking here. If you are searching for a particular named scholarship fund or scholarships available to you, click here to use the scholarship search function. If available, the application will be connected to the page describing the scholarship’s criteria. If there is not an application, there will be contact information listed.
The Foundation also offers several scholarships for current college/graduate school students. Please utilize the appropriate search function to learn about these opportunities. More information on these opportunities will be available shortly. We also encourage you to view the list of links along the right side of this page for other scholarship information and opportunities.
Please check this site periodically as more scholarships may be added over the course of the year.
If after reviewing the materials in this section you have any questions, please contact Nevill Smythe, Vice President, Programs. |
