The Community Foundation of Putnam County (legal name, The Area Fund) d/b/a was secured in 2008.
The Community Foundation was started to bring the services of a community foundation to Putnam County.
Charitable funds have been established with the Community Foundation by Putnam County residents. Grants and scholarships have been awarded in Putnam County.
The goals for the Community Foundation are to grow philanthropy in Putnam County, raise money, establish new endowed funds and award grants to make the quality of life in Putnam County even better.
